About the NJIT PITCH
NJIT PITCH is hosted by the Center for Student Entrepreneurship at NJIT. Winners may also have the opportunity to represent NJIT in competitions such as the Hult Prize, UPitchNJ, Mission 50, and other regional and national competitions. Many entrepreneurs submit practical, innovative ideas for review by a panel of judges for a chance to win prizes!
Finalists will deliver a five-minute pitch with slides, followed by a four-minute Q&A at the pitch competition to be held "in person" on Monday, November 23, at the NJIT Campus Center Atrium from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.
Eligibility
The competition is open to all current NJIT students who plan to be enrolled in the Spring 2027 Semester, both undergraduate and graduate, whether enrolled part-time or full-time. Students may apply individually, but teams of two are highly encouraged.
Students will compete in teams of two, with the winning team earning the opportunity to represent NJIT at the Hult Prize National Competition.
Previous finalists of the former New Business Competition are eligible to apply to the NJIT Pitch Competition, provided they submit a new and different business idea.

Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm (Location: Leir Data Observatory, 2nd Floor of the Library) - No registration required!
Deadline for Submissions:
Wednesday, October 20, 2026 - Applications must include a draft pitch deck.
Date for Notification of Finalists:
Friday, October 30, 2026

Awards
Prizes will be awarded to First ($5,000) , Second ($3,000), and Third Place ($2,000) winners.
Hult Track: NJIT Pitch will also feature a Hult Track. All finalists whose business ideas support at least one United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) will be eligible for the track.
The Hult Prize is a global annual student competition that challenges university students to build for-profit social enterprises that address pressing global challenges.
The winning Hult Track team will receive $2,000 toward travel and accommodation expenses to compete at the Hult Prize National Competition.
Student Choice: Powered by the NJIT Student Senate, NJIT students have the opportunity to vote for their peer that they think has the best pitch! The winner will receive $1,000.
